Urban Farming + Marine Conservation.

Restoring our oceans one mushroom at a time

Conservation in isolation is one of our stubborn illusions. True revival comes from linked hands.

Urban growers and coastal guardians, city science and traditional knowledge, local community here and local community there. Only together can we replant roots deep enough to anchor forever change.

Profits from our Sydney urban farm and shop funds our marine sanctuaries in remote Papua New Guinea.

Field + Fin is dual-location social enterprise focused on ethical commerce

The urban farm at Field and Fin houses shipping containers growing mushrooms, fish and fresh water mussels. The exteriors of the containers are covered in vertical gardens growing herbs, greens and vegetables, all of this connected to our closed loop aquaponics system.

This gives us the freshest of produce for both our fire menu and our farm shop, grown, farmed and produced in the most sustainable way.

Growing our food literally meters from our fire kitchen means our produce could not be any fresher.

Just like our produce we work with the seasons, which means that we open to the public from spring, through summer and a little bit in to autumn. Our online shop is open all year round for you to purchase fresh produce, pickles, fish and relishes.

Opening times for October 2025
Fri 5pm -Midnight
Sat 4pm -Midnight

We will be expanding our hours as we move urther towards our growing goals

Part of the joy of having a garden is also in the sharing of the space. We do that by opening the farm as a bar and a restaurant, for dinners and workshops and for private event bookings.
